Santa Rosa Marathon
When: August 25,2013
Where: Juilliard Park, Santa Rosa, California
As the largest city in Northern California’s wine growing region, the city of Santa Rosa opens up the pathways along Santa Rosa Creek and Prince Memorial Greenway Park for the Santa Rosa Marathon & Half Marathon which will take place on Sunday, August 25, 2013. Open to both runners and walkers, the race route features sights notable for the area—from the trestle bridges that cross the creek to the glorious farmlands and wine vineyards that dot the landscape, all of which make for a memorable run on a flat, fast course. 2013 will mark the fifth anniversary of the marathon.
Join the OTOF team and support military families as you run one of the Santa Rosa races for a soldier killed on August 6, 2011.
Team members will be given a shirt and you will race with a soldier’s name on your back. You will have the opportunity to get to know everything about the warrior and be able to share their story with people who ask, as well as members of our group. If you want to run for a particular soldier, please list their name on the entry form in the appropriate spot.
With your entry fee you will get:
- custom shirt from the SEAL foundation with the name of the soldier you are running for (see attached picture)
- Santa Rosa Marathon participation shirt
- running jacket (for full and half marathon participants)
That’s a big prize package for $95 and it is a great cause!
Santa Rosa Police, Firefighters, and families that have lost a loved one in the field of battle have already signed up to represent our fallen heroes. Please consider joining us in honoring the brave warriors!

Volunteer at the Santa Rosa Marathon
It takes dozens of volunteers to help make The Santa Rosa Marathon and our Health & Fitness Expo presented by Blood Centers of the Pacific a fun filled, festive, and successful event. To help celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Santa Rosa Marathon and Expo, we are looking for 200 volunteers to fill various key positions. Volunteers are needed to work at the Expo helping runners register and pick up their race packets. On marathon day, volunteers are needed to help runners at water/aid stations, with 5K registration, the information tent, and other areas of need. As a way to show our appreciation, volunteers will receive a volunteer T-shirt, a pancake breakfast, and a chance to win tickets to the Charles M. Schulz Museum, Roxy Movie passes, and Russian River Mud Run tickets.
